We
are a small facility located in the Lakes Region of New
Hampshire. We welcome any discipline and welcome students at
any level from beginner to advanced. We offer
lessons in Natural Horsemanship and Dressage which can provide
a good foundation for any discipline. We also offer full board,
training board, exercising, grooming, training rides, horsemanship classes and
clinics. Owner/instructor
Deborah DeBurgo has over 25 years of experience in the field.
She started riding when she was 12 years old, taking hunt-seat lessons
and participating in local shows.
She continued her
education at Virginia Intermont College, participating in hunt-seat
and jumper courses and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Horsemanship in 1990.
After college her first job
exposed her to the art of dressage. In the following years,
while living in Massachusetts, she took many dressage lessons
with Janet Black, Barbara Archer, and Beate Dalbec. She
also became interested in Natural Horsemanship, and participated in a
Parelli Clinic in 2004.

In 2005 Debbie and her
husband moved to New Hampshire and purchased the home and land on
Haggett Farm Road in Northfield with the dream of building and
equestrian facility and offering lessons and boarding. In
2006/2007 the barn and indoor became a reality and in 2007 they began
boarding horses and offering lessons and clinics. In 2005 Debbie
was introduced to dressage instructor Pat Spettel and continues to
take lessons with her. Pat is now a visiting instructor to
Ledgewood Farm.

The last three years Debbie
has also studied under Natural Horseman Dennis Reis and has earned 12
endorsements in his Universal Horsemanship Home Study Course.
She has traveled to tour stops to ride with Dennis in MA, NY and TN.
Most recently she attended the Reis Ranch 2010 Insturctors Course in
Penngrove CA. Her teaching philosophies combine natural
horsemanship and dressage to develop a soft and willing equine
partner.
We
are located at 45 Haggett Farm Road in Northfield NH. Directions From
93 north take exit 20. At the intersection go straight ahead
onto Route 140. Take the first right onto Shaker Road.
Take a right again onto Fiske Road. At the four way stop go
straight ahead onto Knowles Pond Road. After the pond take a
right onto Rand Road. Follow Rand until it splits.
At the fork take a right onto Haggett Farm Road. We are at the
end of Haggett Farm Road. From
93 south take exit 20 and take a left at the end of the ramp.
At the next set of lights take a right onto Route 140 then follow
the same directions as above. If
